The C.M. Ogles were a prominent regional western swing and country group based in the American Southwest and Texas during the 1950s. Led by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist C.M. Ogle, they were a staple of dance halls, rodeos, and community celebrations, playing a major role in the postwar Texas dancehall circuit.Musical Style: Their sound was a blend of traditional country, honky-tonk, and the jazz-infused western swing that dominated the 1950s—featuring fiddles, steel guitars, upright bass, and a driving rhythm section for dancers.
